Belarus, Turkey to extend visa-free stay for drivers, crew members

July 21, Pozirk. Belarus and Turkey have agreed to extend the period of visa-free stay for drivers and crew members from 30 to 90 days in any 180-day period. The protocol signed today in Minsk amends the March 2013 intergovernmental agreement on visa exemptions.

According to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the protocol applies to drivers and crew members of freight vehicles, buses, civil aviation aircraft and sea vessels engaged in the international transportation of goods and passengers.

Both parties have yet to ratify it.

Under the agreement currently in force, Belarusian and Turkish nationals can stay in each other’s countries without visas for 30 days. However, the total duration of stay in the other country cannot exceed 90 days within one year from the date of first entry.
