July 25, Pozirk. The Belarusian foreign ministry has confirmed the death of a Belarusian national in a plane crash in Russia’s Amur province yesterday.
Belarusian diplomats from Consulate General in Vladivostok remain in contact with Russian authorities and the family of the deceased, it noted.
The victim may be Dzianis Kazienka, who was listed as a passenger on the An-24 plane that crashed yesterday during the approach to the Tynda airport, killing all 43 people aboard along with six crew members. The plane was almost 50 years old and involved in at least four incidents since 2018, reports said.
Kazienka worked for Inovatek, a Belarusian company specializing in innovative forestry technologies, and was in Khabarovsk on a business trip. His wife and 10-month-old daughter live in Minsk.
