Belarus reports 1.3 percent economic growth in 2025

January 19, Pozirk. Belarus’ economy grew by 1.3 percent year on year in 2025, the National Statistical Committee (Biełstat) reported.

Growth has been losing momentum throughout the year: from 3.7 percent in January, to 3.1 percent in both January–February and January–March, then down to 2.8 percent in January–April, 2.5 in January-May, 2.1 percent in January-June and 1.3 percent in January-July. GDP rose by 1.6-percent in January-September and January-August.

Despite the slowdown, the government maintained a GDP growth target of 4.1 percent for 2025, with the economy slated to grow by 2.8 percent in 2026.
