Embassy in Tehran advises Belarusians to leave Iran by land via Armenia, Azerbaijan
March 6, Pozirk. Seven days after the Israeli-US attack on Iran, the Belarusian embassy in Tehran urged Belarusians to be cautious and use “available land routes for leaving Iran for Armenia and Azerbaijan.”
“As a reminder, at present the optimal point for exiting Iran is the Nurduz-Agarak checkpoint in the direction of Armenia. You must obtain an individual permission in advance to exit through Azerbaijan.”
Yesterday, Iranian drones hit a passenger terminal at the airport in Azerbaijan’s exclave of Nakhchivan and a school near the village of Shakarabad, close to the border with Iran. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev accused Tehran of committing an “act of terror” following the incident and ordered the army to full combat readiness.
Military operations in the Middle East intensified amid stalled negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, as Washington pressed Tehran to curb its nuclear activities and address concerns over its enrichment and uranium stockpile, while Iranian officials maintained they would not accept US demands without significant concessions on sanctions.
