August 17, Pozirk. Belarus’ weather stations recorded three record high daily temperatures on August 16, according to data from Biełhidramiet.
Temperatures rose to 34.6 degrees Celsius in Brest (up from 33.9C on the same date in 2008), 34.7C in Pružany and 34.4C in Vysokaje.
Belarus’ warmest day was in Kobryn (34.9C), while the all-time record for the date – 37.5C – was registered in Lelčycy in 2008
On June 29, Belarus reported its highest-ever temperature in the 145-year history of meteorological observations at 40.4 C in Pinsk, Brest region.
