We made clear to Belarus it would face a new level of consequences if it allows its territory be used to wage war, Julie Fisher says

February 25, BPN. US Special Envoy for Belarus Julie Fisher commented on the new US sanctions against the authorities in Minsk.

“Russia is responsible for the attacks on Ukraine. But Belarus is complicit for allowing its territory be used to wage war. We made clear to Belarus it would face a new level of consequences if that happened. Those consequences begin now,” Fisher wrote on Twitter.

On February 24, the US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions against 24 legal entities and individuals related to the Belarusian banking and military sectors.
