February 26, BPN. The chair of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, Serhii Deineko sent an official letter to the head of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Anatol’ Lappo, where he openly accused Minsk of waging war against Ukraine jointly with Moscow.
“Contrary to the good neighbourly relations, on February 24-26, 2022, with the full assistance of the Republic of Belarus, an open military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine was carried out with the use of combat aviation, ballistic missiles, artillery, tanks, armored personnel carriers, ground troops and other forces and means from the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” the document reads. “Russian units on the Ukrainian-Belarusian section of the border, with the assistance of the Republic of Belarus, carry out missile and bomb strikes, destroying civilian objects in Ukraine, killing civilians, encroaching on the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in order to establish occupation control.”
“The Republic of Belarus, together with the Russian Federation, is waging war against Ukraine, disregarding the provisions of international law, basic norms of human morality and the values of life. We will win. Damn you, bastards!” the head of Ukrainian Border Guard Service concluded.
The letter is signed as follows: “With contempt, the Chair of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Major General Serhii Deineko.”
