Part of Belarusian troops continue to guard the border in the south and to monitor the situation at the western borders – Defense Ministry

March 14, BPN. Part of the Belarusian Armed Forces “carries out tasks to strengthen the protection of the state border, as well as to increase air defense service,” says the Defense Ministry’s press service.

According to the ministry, “a set of measures to rotate the units performing tasks on strengthening the protection of the state border in the south” is also implemented.

The ministry noted that its main purpose is to “ensure the safety of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, to prevent violations of the state border, and to eliminate weapons and ammunition supply channels.”

“Additionally, the situation is being monitored in the light of the significant increase of the military presence at the western borders of the Republic of Belarus,” said the Defense Ministry.
