Dollar, euro fall at end of week

June 10, BPN. This week’s last session at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) ended with a drop of the dollar and euro against the rubel. The dollar fell to 2.5537 rubels, and the euro to 2.7015 rubels.

The dollar ended the week down 2.19 percent. The euro, too, ended it on a sour note, with a 3.05 percent decrease against the Belarusian currency.

The Belarusian rubel weakened by 1.58 percent against the U.S. dollar in the first five months of 2022. It ranked sixth in terms of weakening in the former Soviet Union.

Moldova topped the ranking with 7.47 percent, followed by Ukraine with 7.25 percent, and the Baltic states with 5.72 percent.
