Ukrainian military command says Belarusian army practiced draftee reception

June 16, BPN. One of the Belarusian army’s mechanized brigades has practiced the reception of draftees at mobilization resources reception points as a part of the ongoing combat readiness exercises, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in an operational report on June 16.

The Belarusian defense ministry has holding command staff exercises with military and logistical support units from June 14 to 16.

On February 24, Russia started what it called a special military operation in Ukraine. Authorities in Minsk deny Belarusian army troops’ involvement in combat operations on the Russian side. However, Alaksandr Łukašenka admitted in the May 5 interview with AP that Russian troops entered Ukraine and launched missiles from Belarusian territory.

On March 15, Alaksandr Łukašenka announced that “our task, very important in any battle, not only in the war, is to prevent an attack from the back on the advancing troops. The Russian troops.”
