June 17, BPN. The rubel strengthened to 2,5569 against the U.S. dollar, but weakened to 2,6716 against the euro at the June 17 trading session at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).
The Belarusian currency dropped to 4,4915 Belarusian rubels for 100 Russian rubles.
The Belarusian rubel weakened by 1.58 percent against the U.S. dollar in the first five months of 2022. It ranked sixth in terms of weakening in the former Soviet Union.
Moldova topped the ranking with 7.47 percent, followed by Ukraine with 7.25 percent, and the Baltic states with 5.72 percent.
