June 18, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has apparently cast doubt on Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian grain exports.
On June 17, he told workers in Babrujsk, Mahiloŭ region, that he had discussed the grain issue with Vladimir Putin. “I said: ‘Do not worry, there is not as much grain there as they shout. And it is not about the grain. They want to accuse you and I that we have created world famine,” Łukašenka said.
“When we said: ‘You are welcome, there are seven routes, take it, the topic has subsided,” he added, without providing specifics. Belta quotes him as saying that the cheapest way to get Ukrainian grain out to the world is through Belarus.
