Criminal case reportedly filed against arrested media executive

June 26, BPN. A criminal case has been filed against arrested Dev By Media director Vital Andros, pro-government Telegram accounts reported.

Without specifying the charge, they claimed that he allegedly “incited people to a coup d’état.”

On June 24, reports came that law enforcers arrested a couple behind IT news portal dev.by.

Vital Andros is the director of the Dev By Media company, and Alena Andros is the company’s chief accountant.

Video footage of the arrest was published by a Telegram account linked to the Belarusian police.

Vital Andros was shown saying that he took part in unauthorized rallies in August 2020, was subscribed to extremist social media and registered with an activist chatbot.

The account called dev.by an “anti-state resource.”
