Minsk territorial troops to hold a drill on August 29-30
August 29, BPN. Minsk’s territorial defense troops are scheduled to hold a drill on August 29-30 near the Masiukoŭščyna residential area, the Minsk City Executive Committee has said on Telegram.
The territorial defense troops’ comprehensive check in the capital was announced on August 15.
The head of the Minsk Central district’s military enlistment office, Siarhiej Koŭš, said it will involve setting up a territorial defense headquarters and forming a rifle battalion.
The office plans to call up 300 people from Minsk’s Saviecki, Pieršamajski and Centralny districts for training.
The drill is taking place amid the war Russia launched against Ukraine on February 24 with support from officials in Minsk.
