Łukašenka says elite unit involved in 2020 crackdown guards law, peaceful labor

September 4, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has congratulated the internal forces’ unit 3214, the 3rd Separate Special-Purpose Brigade, on the 80th anniversary of its creation.

“You are on duty every day. And today you firmly guard the law and Belarusians’ peaceful labor, constantly solving uniquely specific and complex service and combat tasks, following the laws of the special forces’ brotherhood even in the most difficult and dangerous situations,” he said, as quoted by his press office.

According to the documentary “On the Cutting Edge,” aired by ONT on September 4, unit 3214 was directly involved in the suppression of post-election protests.
