Cichanoŭskaja pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth’s resilience and service
September 8, BPN. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has offered her condolences to the people of the UK and the Royal Family.
She tweeted that Her Majesty “stood firm and true through the most turbulent of times” and that “her resilience and service remain inspirational.”
Britain’s longest-reigning monarch died on September 8 after 70 years on the throne, aged 96.
The Belarusian leadership is yet to comment on the death of the Queen.
