Anarchists’ case lawyers arrested for leaking data – interior ministry

September 14, BPN. Michaił Markaŭ and Anastasija Sahanovič, defense lawyers arrested on September 13 shortly after the trial of anarchists and rights advocates, face criminal charges for disclosing officials’ personal data, the interior ministry’s press office reported.

It said that the lawyers allegedly passed the names and home addresses of police officers, investigators, prosecutors, and judges involved in the case to initiatives deemed extremist, and the data were later posted online.

Lawyers are also charged with gross violations of public order for participation in 2020 post-election protests.
