West openly seeking complete isolation of CIS countries – Belarusian prime minister
October 28, BPN. Former Western partners are openly seeking “complete industrial, technological and financial isolation of our countries”, Belarusian Prime Minister Raman Hałoŭčanka has told participants in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of Government Council in Kazakstan’s Astana.
“The collective West, without even realizing it, has created the preconditions for a new global economic crisis, possibly the largest in history,” Belarusian government’s press office cited Hałoŭčanka.
Central banks all over the world try to delay recession by raising interest rates, thus slowing down economic growth and causing instability of the prices for critically important goods, he said. The official also complained about global supply chain disruptions, soaring inflation and exorbitant energy prices.
Earlier, CIS Council announced that its meeting would focus on cooperation in trade and economy.
