Łukašenka approves draft combat training deal with Russia

October 31, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has approved as a basis for negotiations a draft agreement with Russia to set up combat training centers. He signed an edict to this effect on October 31, his press service said.

“The Ministry of Defense is authorized to negotiate and sign the deal when an agreement is reached in line with the approved draft,” it said.

Since October 15, Russia has been transferring troops to Belarus, which, together with the Belarusian military, form a joint regional group.
