Belarusian democratic politicians meet with Ukrainian interior minister’s adviser

November 5, BPN. Members of the Belarusian opposition’s transition cabinet Valer Kavaleŭski and Alina Koŭšyk have discussed cooperation formats with Anton Herashchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister, at a meeting in Kyiv.

“They discussed in detail the possible forms of joint counteraction to propaganda, which has significantly intensified since the beginning of the war against Ukraine,” the cabinet said on Telegram. They also discussed possible formats of “expert and socio-political dialogue” between Belarus and Ukraine.

One day earlier, the cabinet reported that Kavaleŭski and Koŭšyk met with leaders of the Verkhovna Rada’s cross-party group For Democratic Belarus.

Belarusian politicians discussed with MPs Oleksii Honcharenko, Vadym Halaichuk and Bohdan Yaremenko “positions on the Łukašenka regime’s participation in the war against Ukraine” and “areas of cooperation in the field of national revival.”

The parties agreed to expand civil society contacts, develop bilateral relations and maintain communication “in order to achieve the common goals: protect the independence of Belarus and Ukraine.”

On September 28, For Democratic Belarus head Honcharenko discussed cooperation with Belarusian opposition member Pavieł Łatuška. On October 19, FDC members met with representatives of the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment, comprising Belarusian volunteer fighters.
