November 11, BPN. Belarus remains the only Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) country to post a decline in industrial production, according to the Eurasian Economic Commission’s statistics.
It posted a 6.1-percent decline year on year in the first nine months, while other EAEU countries reported growth: Russia by 0.4 percent, Kazakhstan by 2.1 percent, Armenia by 10 percent, and Kyrgyzstan by 16.6 percent.
By contrast, industrial production in Belarus rose by 7.9 percent in January – July 2021.
Belarus’ GDP contracted by 4.7 percent in January-September 2022, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) reported.
