Underground newspaper, Telegram channels, Ukrainian song blacklisted as extremist

November 18, BPN. Belarusian courts labeled as “extremist content” an underground newspaper, several local and niche Telegram channels and chats, as well as a Ukrainian song. The information ministry has already added them to its censorship list.

On November 11, a district court in Mahiloŭ ruled against five electronic issues of the Slovo Belorusov underground newspaper.

On November 14, a district court in Viciebsk ruled against the Mediki s Narodom (Viciebsk) group on Telegram. The Lida District Court, Hrodna region, banned the Tekhas Dlya Zhizni. Lida Telegram channel. And a district court in Homiel banned the Nezavisimyy Profsoyuz Gomyelya Telegram chat.

It also blacklisted the song “Baťko Nash – Bandera, Ukraina – maty.”

On November 15, a district court in Hrodna blacklisted the Devyatovko, Grodno chat on Telegram. One day later, the Zhabinka District Court, Brest region, banned the anarchist Telegram channel Pravo na Vosstaniye.
