Belarus’ population reported down by 155,000 people in two years

December 5, BPN. The Belarusian population shrank by 154,735 people in the last two years, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s statistical department reported.

It fell from 9,410,259 people on January 1, 2020 to 9,349,645 in 2021 and to 9,255,524 in 2022.

The National Statistical Committee (Belstat) has not disclosed monthly demographic data for a long time.
