Finance ministry places ruble-denominated bonds worth $80 million at BCSE

December 9, BPN. The Belarusian Ministry of Finance has placed the 293rd issue of long-term government bonds denominated in Russian rubles at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

“As a result of the placement, six applications submitted by legal entities, residents and non-residents of the Republic of Belarus were granted, totaling five billion Russian rubles (about 200 million Belarusian rubels, or about $80 million in equivalent),” the finance ministry’s press office said.

Each bond has a face value of 1,000 rubles and has a circulation period of 1,100 days, maturing on December 12, 2025.

Annual interest of 12.5 percent will be paid twice a year during the circulation period starting 2023.
