December 12, BPN. About 750,000 square meters of rental housing for servicemen will be constructed in 2023, Minister of Architecture and Construction Rusłan Parchamovič has told Belarus 1.
About 100,000 square meters of rental housing will be built in 2022, the official said. He also noted that the construction industry has the capability to improve its performance given the current need for rental housing in Belarus.
Authorities plan to boost rental housing construction in 2023 following Alaksandr Łukašenka’s orders to secure housing for the military, Parchamovič said.
Housing needs of all military personnel should be met by the first half of 2024, he noted, adding that companies can build housing for other customers if they wish.
