Cichanoŭskaja to visit Finland on December 13-14

December 12, BPN. An adviser to Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has told BPN that she will visit Finland on December 13-14, on the invitation of Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto.

“During her visit, Cichanoŭskaja will meet with the President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister Sanna Marin, the Speaker of Parliament Matti Vanhanen, as well as members of the delegations of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, the Council of Europe and the Nordic Council,” Franak Viačorka said.

On December 9-11, the politician visited Norway, where she attended the Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony. This year it was co-won by jailed Belarusian human rights defender Aleś Bialacki.
