Belarus’ top diplomat, Russian envoy meet ahead of Putin visit

December 17, BPN. Belarusian Foreign Minister Siarhiej Alejnik and Russian Ambassador Boris Gryzlov have met in Minsk ahead of the Russian president’s visit.

“They discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation, as well as forthcoming highest-level and diplomatic contacts,” the Belarusian foreign ministry reported on December 16.

Alaksandr Łukašenka and Vladimir Putin are expected to discuss economy and security in Minsk on December 19.
