Russia may allow Belarusian companies to fish in Russian waters

December 28, BPN. Belarusian companies may be allowed to fish in Russian waters, head of Russia’s fishery agency Ilya Shestakov told journalists.

Russia may support the Belarusian fish processing industry by providing quotas at sites where the total allowable catch is not fully used, he added.

“If our Belarusian colleagues want to participate, but the Russian companies do not fully use their quotas, we do not see anything wrong within the intergovernmental agreements,” Russia’s PRIME news agency quoted him as saying.
