Rubel’s rally against dollar continues at BCSE
January 12, BPN. The rubel has been rising against the US dollar for four days in a row at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).
On January 12, it jumped to 2.626 per dollar. This week’s rise amounted to 3.86 percent.
The rubel also strengthened against the Chinese currency: today it traded at 3.8934 per 10 yuan. But it slid to 3.8738 per 100 Russian rubles.
There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN standing at 2.9.
Last week (January 3-6), the rubel climbed 0.18 percent against the dollar and 0.47 percent against the euro. It dropped 3.38 percent against the yuan and 0.74 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency plunged by 7.39 percent against the greenback in 2022.
