January 30, BPN. “All the draft laws that we adopt today and the way the system of government has been designed in our country have no analogues,” the chair of the Council of the Republic, Natalla Kačanava, has told senators.

The upper house’s press office quotes her as saying: “If we work as one to implement the perfectly clear and understandable tasks set by our president, everything will be perfect.”

On January 30, the Council of the Republic adopted bills on political parties, civil society organizations and the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly to further limit political diversity.
