March 28, BPN. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja discussed Russia’s plan to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus with Jake Sullivan, the White House national security advisor.
These plan is unacceptable because it would undermine Belarus’ nuclear-free status and push it towards absorption by Russia, she stressed and called for steps to prevent it.

Sullivan assured her of the full support of the United States for a free Belarus, Cichanoŭskaja’s press office told BPN.
The politician is visiting the United States from March 22 to 28.
On March 23, the US announced its intention to launch a strategic dialogue with the Belarusian opposition and civil society in late 2023.
