Łukašenka to address nation and parliament on March 31
March 28, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka will deliver his annual address to the nation and the National Assembly on March 31, his press office’s Telegram channel Pul Pervogo reported.
The event is planned in a “broad format” at the Palace of the Republic in Minsk.
In 2022, Łukašenka addressed the nation and parliament in late January, focusing on his legitimacy and trying to assure everyone that he was in control. He talked a lot about deteriorating relations with the neighboring countries, sanctions, regional conflicts, the threat of war and fighting external and internal opponents.
In 2021, Łukašenka canceled his address, while in 2020 it took place on August 4, shortly before the main day of voting in the presidential election. Prior to that, he usually delivered his addresses in April or May.
