Belarusians net sellers of foreign currency in Q1 2023
April 7, BPN. Belarusians sold $1.8 billion and bought $1.4 billion worth of foreign cash at exchange offices in the first three months of 2023, the National Bank reported.
Individuals also bought $913 million and sold $533 million online.
In the first quarter of 2023, net foreign currency sales exceeded purchases by $33.3 million.
Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves rose by $329 million in March to about $8 billion.
