Belarusian volunteers to form new unit to fight Russia in Ukraine
April 16, BPN. The Second International Legion of Ukraine authorized Belarusian volunteers to create another military unit within the Ukrainian Armed Forces, volunteer Jaŭhien Michasiuk (call sign August) wrote in his Telegram channel.
Volunteers are currently carrying out combat tasks, procuring equipment and ammunition and training new recruits, he said.
Several Belarusian volunteer units, including the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment and the Pahonia unit, are fighting alongside the Ukrainian forces against Russian aggression.
Michasiuk, a former officer of the Kalinoŭski Regiment, encouraged potential recruits to join the new unit, noting the need for more intelligence and communication professionals, engineers, drone operators and managers.
