Russian Communists, allies hold “anti-fascist” forum in Minsk
April 21, BPN. Communist leaders from several Eurasian countries have arrived in Minsk to participate in an “anti-fascist” forum organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).
“Today, all of the world’s left-wing patriotic forces gathered on Belarusian land, every inch of which had been abundantly watered with the blood of millions of victims of fascism, to say their firm NO to war and fascism,” CPRF said on its website.
Participants include Russia’s Gennadiy Zyuganov, Armenia’s Erdzhanik Kazaryan, Kyrgyzstan’s Yrysbek Toybekov, Georgia’s Temur Pipiya, and Bakur Bebiya of Abkhazia, Georgia’s breakaway region.
Last month, Zyuganov told Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin that Alaksandr Łukašenka “responded to this request” to allow “a global forum of struggle against Nazism and fascism.”
The forum would be held on April 22, at a World War II museum.
