German embassy launches educational YouTube channel for Belarusians
April 28, BPN. The German embassy in Minsk will be posting professional expert commentary on socially significant topics and debates relevant to Belarus to a new YouTube channel, the diplomatic mission’s press office reports.
The videos of speeches by “outstanding German experts with academic and practical experience” will be available in Russian, with German subtitles, it said.
“We want to give Belarusians in the country and abroad an opportunity to stay in touch with Germany, German culture and German experts on topics that concern Belarus. After the forced closure of Goethe Institut and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Belarus, we are now opening up new digital opportunities for this on YouTube,” German Ambassador Manfred Huterer said.
The channel has already posted Dr. Angelika Nussberger’s lecture “Affirming Human Rights in Troubled Times.”
