Belarusian rubel drops against dollar and yuan

May 23, BPN. The rubel has weakened against the US dollar and the Chinese yuan at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

It traded at 2.9309 per dollar, down 0.19 percent from yesterday, and at 4.1673 per 10 yuan, down 0.05 percent.

It edged up 0.03 percent to 3.6646 per 100 Russian rubles.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.2.

The rubel fell last week against the dollar, euro and yuan but gained against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost nearly 7 percent of its value against the dollar in the first four months of 2023.
