Belarusian rubel climbs against dollar and yuan

May 24, BPN. The Belarusian currency has gained slightly against the US dollar and the Chinese yuan at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

The rubel rose to 2.9298 per dollar, up 0.04 percent from yesterday, and to 4.1534 per 10 yuan, up 0.33 percent.

It slipped to 3.666 per 100 Russian rubles, down 0.04 percent.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.2.

The rubel fell last week against the dollar, euro and yuan but gained against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost nearly 7 percent of its value against the dollar in the first four months of 2023.
