Defense ministers of Russia-led bloc meeting in Minsk

May 25, BPN. The Defense Ministers Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is taking place in Minsk on May 25, the Belarusian defense ministry reported.

The meeting focused on military security and crisis response as well as agreements on joint training of forces, CSTO collective security and military-technical cooperation, it noted.

Defense ministers also plan to hold bilateral meetings. All participants have arrived in Minsk, the defense ministry’s press office said.

The Russian-led security alliance CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
