Households’ disposable spending up 15 percent in Q1 – Belstat

May 30, BPN. Belarusian households’ disposable income (net of taxes, fees and contributions, adjusted for inflation) increased by 14.8 percent year on year, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said.

According to a survey on households’ standard of living, disposable income rose from 1,654 rubels in Q1 2022 to 1,900 rubels per household per month in Q1 this year.

In the first three months, households’ disposable spending increased by 15.1 percent year on year to 1,809 rubels per month. Consumer spending accounted for 73 percent with food expenses exceeding 40 percent, non-food items share falling to 31.9 percent, and services spending rising to 25.1 percent.
