Belarus’ foreign trade surplus narrows as imports soar

June 9, BPN. Belarus’ surplus in trade in goods and services amounted to $203.3 million in the first four months of 2023, plunging by 82.6 percent year on year, the National Bank said.

Belarus’ trade rose by 14 percent to $30.6 million from January to April, it added.

Exports increased by 9.9 percent to $15.4 billion, and imports by 18.4 percent to $15.2 billion. Trade in goods grew by 15.4 percent and trade in services, by 6.8 percent.
