Nukes to arrive in Belarus in July – Putin

June 9, BPN. Russian tactical nuclear weapons will be deployed in Belarus after July 7 as soon as necessary storage facilities are ready, Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Alaksandr Łukašenka at their meeting in Sochi.

“Everything is going according to plan and everything is stable,” the Russian leader’s press office quoted him as saying.

Everything is also going as planned as regards other “most sensitive issues,” he added.

The two leaders plan to discuss security issues “separately, face to face,” Putin said, noting that “generally, the situation is stable, even good. We are cooperating well.”
