Salidarnaść newspaper among over 100 “extremist” designations

July 7, BPN. A court in Homiel has declared 105 web pages extremist, as human rights groups accuse the state of using anti-extremism laws to silence dissent.

In particular, the court blacklisted social media of the Belarusian service of Poland’s Radio Wnet, the information ministry said. It also targeted the Belarusian online newspaper Salidarnaść and its Facebook, TikTok and Twitter accounts.

Previously, it ruled against content by regime critic Valer Capkała, the Belarusian Sports Solidarity Foundation (BSSF) and RazMova, a blog about Belarusian language.
