Rubel falls against dollar for third straight day

July 19, BPN. The rubel has lost 0.43 percent of its value against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It traded at 3.0336 per dollar, 4.2104 per 10 yuan, up 0.02 percent from yesterday, and 3.3261 per 100 Russian rubles, up 0.25 percent. There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN at 3.399.

Last week (July 10-14), the rubel gained 1.46 percent against the dollar and 0.05 percent against the yuan, but lost 2.28 percent against the euro and 0.42 percent against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost 10.88 percent of its value against the dollar in the first six months.
