Defense ministry confirms continued exercises with Russian mercenaries

July 30, BPN. Belarusian mechanized brigades units have started joint training with Wagner Group instructors, defense ministry reports.

The exercises focus on “combat operations in modern conditions,” survival on the battlefield and the active use of UAVs, it added.

Defense ministry regularly reports on the joint training of Belarusian servicemen with Russian mercenaries who allegedly share their combat experience.

Wagner Group mercenaries have been regularly arriving in Belarus since mid-July. Their numbers are estimated to be between 3,500 and 5,000 soldiers.
