Energy ministry expecting higher electricity consumption in 2023

December 20, Pozirk. Belarus’ electricity consumption is on pace to total 41 billion kilowatt-hours in 2023, rising by 6.3 percent year on year, Energy Minister Viktar Karankievič has told journalists.

Electricity generated by the nuclear power plant in Astraviec, Hrodna region, is expected to account for 28 percent of the total consumption, he noted.
