Cichanoŭskaja urges Polish president to help democratic Belarus join Lublin Triangle

January 10, Pozirk. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja urged Polish President Andrzej Duda to help democratic Belarus join the Lublin Triangle, her aide Franak Viačorka told Pozirk.
The politicians held talks in Warsaw on January 9, focusing among other things, on joint activities for 2024 within the Lublin Triangle, an alliance of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine promoting regional cooperation.
Cichanoŭskaja and Duda discussed developments in Belarus and Ukraine, as well as how to make sure that Belarus does not become a consolation prize for the Kremlin.
The Belarusian politician awarded Duda the Cross of Good Neighborhood in recognition of his support of Belarusians’ fight for freedom.
Earlier, the opposition transition cabinet presented the award to the European Parliament’s President Roberta Metsola, Sweden’s Foreign Minister Tobias Billström, and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
