February 29, Pozirk. Belarusian bloggers have been ordered to pay tens and hundreds of thousands of rubels in underpaid income tax, Andrej Kavaleŭski of the tax ministry has told journalists.
Tax authorities found in late 2023 and early 2024 that some of them hid part of their income from advertisement and video production, Kavaleŭski said.
He said that Belarusian tax rates are among the world’s lowest, with income tax for individuals at 13 percent and business income tax at 10 percent, including social insurance contributions.
