Łukašenka appoints CEOs of arms trading company, fridge and truck plants
March 11, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka has appointed Ihar Velanciej as CEO to the Biełspiecznieštechnika arms trading company, his press office reports.
Two years ago, the United States sanctioned the company for the Belarusian authorities’ support of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Earlier, Velanciej was responsible for business affairs at another defense company, the Precise Electromechanics Plant.
The Belarusian ruler also appointed Dźmitryj Charytončyk as CEO to the Atlant refrigeration equipment manufacturer, and Siarhiej Lesin, to BelAZ, a heavy duty truck maker.
Vasil Sysojeŭ has been named first deputy chair of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee; Andrej Hardziej and Andrej Sakałoŭski as heads of the district executive committees in Kareličy, Hrodna region, and Bierazino, Minsk region, respectively.
