March 15, Pozirk. Minsk book fair visitors picked Russian Alexander Pushkin as one of the most exciting authors but could not promptly recall any of his book titles, the Belarusian Academy of Sciences said in its Telegram channel citing the March 14 survey.
However, surveyed visitors named Belarusian titles such as Uładzimir Karatkievič’s Ears of Rye under Thy Sickle and King Stakh’s Wild Hunt, The New Land by Jakub Kołas and two novels by Ivan Šamiakin among the favorites.
The 31st Minsk International Book Fair is open at the Biełexpa exhibition center from March 14 to 17.
The poll was conducted using the computer assisted personal interviewing method among 335 visitors.
